NAGLFAR Cancels ROCK HARD FESTIVAL Appearance
May 25, 2007Swedish black metallers NAGLFAR have canceled their previously announced appearance at this year's Rock Hard Festival, which is scheduled to take place May 25-27 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The band's official statement on the matter reads as follows:
"We regretfully have to inform you that due to an aircompany strike in Sweden, NAGLFAR have to cancel their appearance on Rock Hard Festival this weekend. We've looked through other possibilities to get there, but no solution was to be found. We're very angry and frustrated about this, and although these circumstances are out of our control we want to apologize to anyone affected by this. NAGLFAR's new album, "Harvest", was released in February through Century Media Records. According to a press release, "Harvest" combines NAGLFAR's "original sound with the massive thrust of later years. True to the Swedish formula of bringing the harsh bleakness of the black style together with the technical prowess and high-speed assault of death metal, NAGLFAR have created another masterpiece of their genre." A limited-edition version of the album containing a bonus DVD (featuring four professionally recorded live clips from the Party.San Open Air festival 2006, the video for the track "The Perpetual Horrors" as well as an interview with lead singer Kristoffer Olivius) is also avaialble. The cover artwork was created by Travis Smith. A video for the track "The Darkest Road" was filmed by Roger Johansson (ARCH ENEMY, THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY).
